Dear Wall street

Dear Wall Street,

I am writing in order to make you aware of your injustice to the middle class.  As the unemployment rate rises, so does your profit.  If there is good reason for this, I’d love to know it; otherwise I think it can be safely assumed that you may not even care about the jobs that are lost because of your outsourcing.  If there is no good reason, I’d like you to do me a favor.  Find yourself a former employee, see how his or her life is going since you shipped the company to China.  Ask them how their life is, and wait for what their answer might be.
Despite what you may think, you aren’t doing good things for this nation, in fact, quite the opposite.  What you do is slightly reminiscent of vampirism, feeding off the weak who are unable to defend themselves.  You may think I am some anti-capitalism pig,(which those who represent you are so eloquently fond of saying in front of news cameras)however you’d be grotesquely mistaken.  Free market is what makes this country great, but free market controlled by the wealthiest people is not free at all.  It is not even capitalism, it is Mercantilism.

how is gay marriage a threat to the 'sanctity' of marriage?

why are people afraid of gays getting married? how can it possibly affect already existing marriages? it can't. unless....you or your husband/wife is having an affair with one of the men or women.

Tres Bien

Tres Bien
I, the living paint brush
move across the barren canvas called Earth,
and seek to spread my colors across humanity
Ever changing, never static, blind and unaware.
I am you.

September 2nd

Walking through a snow covered forest, a savage foe approaches.  He is not bear or wolf, or mountain lion, he is man, slowly creeping into my haven in the trees.  The trees speak to those who will listen, and I have listened for many years.  Their branches bend and sway in the wind, but the trees cannot sense what I can sense, a monster comes to pillage my home.

Leaves

Leaves

They fall like the tears of a broken heart
they fall from the trees as if nothing but a passerby.
Off to go down the path they've chosen for themselves.

These leaves, like I, drift further and further away from where they came,
until nothing that they leave behind remembers them.
They are but memories, fluttering away with the wind,
memories soon forgotten.

But these leaves create something in their solitude,
they create a paradise for their own existence.
it is theirs, and theirs alone, never to be shared.
Are people so different?

a poem, for the second posting

Just like the sunlight
I rise and fall each day
Only in the moonlight
Are my best accomplishments made
I sleep through the daylight
My name is Pere du Nuit
